While Acourate cannot diffuse the sound, what it can do is better correlate the inter-channel frequency and timing responses so the direct sound and the first 20 ms of sound arrival at one's ears are as identical as possible. As a side note, this measure of channel equality in frequency response over time is captured in Acourate as Interaural Coherence Coefficient (IACC), which is discussed in a later section. This means the sound reproduction system is accurately reproducing the audio waveform to my ears. If one looks back at the psychoacoustics section, it is also what our ears care about. Our ears/brain correlate direction with the law of the first wavefront. Our ears do not correlate the diffuse tail or reverb with respect to direction.
